Fans can easily wear replicated jerseys of their favorite player. Hockey enthusiasts may also sport t-shirts and hats displaying their favorite team’s logo. However, the most artistic designs on the ice are not readily available.
Goalies stand apart from other hockey players for a variety of reasons. Their unique mask art being a clear example. Outer Edge Threads is beyond thrilled to announce we are launching charity apparel sponsored by EYECANDYAIR. Now you can wear shirts supporting two Stanley Cup goalie’s non-profit organizations…and look good while doing it.
Steve Nash, of EYECANDYAIR, is the artist behind the masks of Cam Ward, Tim Thomas, Martin Biron, Jonathan Quick, Chris Mason and more. I interviewed Mr. Nash a few months ago for CardiacCane.com and I couldn’t wait to find a reason to work with them again.
“The opportunity to offer some of our goalie mask designs for people to wear on their shirts is truly exciting,” explains Nash.
Steve, along with his wife Steph, are giving OET exclusive rights to their trademark designs for two amazing t-shirts. This summer, we will unveil our EYECANDYAIR Blackbeard and Bear shirts. Blackbeard graces the goalie mask of Carolina Hurricanes’ Cam Ward while the Bear (you guessed it) belongs to Tim Thomas of the Boston Bruins.
15% of the sales from Blackbeard will support the Kids ‘N Community Foundation. As “The Heart of the Carolina Hurricanes,” this organization strives to meet the health, educational, and underserved population needs of their community by offering programming and financial assistance to local area youth-oriented organizations.
Also, 15% of the Bear sales will be distributed to the Tim Thomas Foundation as their mission is to “support the underdog” whether the underdog position was developed due to lack of opportunity, lack of education, illness or a disaster.
“We were proud to join forces with Outer Edge Threads in their charity shirt efforts and thought it would also be an excellent way to support our goalies and their non-profit causes,” says EYECANDYAIR.
We hope you feel the same! Puck drops in May and we look forward to you joining the team in style and spirit.
